You will love these simple cookies for two reasons : they are very easy to make and more importantly taste amazing. They look humble but I can guarantee you will find in love at the first bite. This is a family recipe from Josee DiStasio featured in her third cookbook.

SERVING SIZE
Approximately 40 cookies
INGREDIENTS
1 box of Graham Cookies
1 cup of butter
1 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of sliced almonds
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the graham cookies on the sheet making sure there is no space in between. It must be as tight as possible.
In a small pan melt butter and brown sugar stirring consistently while bringing to a boil. Keep stirring for 90 seconds after the first boil. Remove from heat and pour mixture over the graham cookies. Even out the mixture with a spatula and sprinkle the almonds on top.
Bake for 8 minutes. Open the oven door by about 1 inch and let the cookies rest in oven for 1 hour.
