Meal Plan for November Week 2

Food shopping at this time of the year is great fun as you can feel the anticipation building up around Thanksgiving. Pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice everything and baking supplies move front and center at the grocery store as we get ready to celebrate. This week is action packed so I made sure all of our lunches and dinners were covered as I integrated some Thanksgiving inspired ingredients in the mix. I love pasta dishes but given we have them as options for both lunch and dinner, I will be mindful of alternating to not overload!


Option A

Ginger Turkey Meatballs – from the Josee Di Stasio recipe I previously posted. I drizzled them with some Thai peanut sauce from Brandless.

Cilantro Rice – my favorite rice recipe, from Martha Stewart.

Steamed Carrots

Option B

Pumpkin Mac N Cheese. One of my favorite recipe from Famille Futee which is a TV show in Quebec that helps families come together at dinner time with simple meals. Unfortunately this recipe is available only in French online so here is the link until I work on a full traduction! Google translate in the interim.


Option A

Lasagna with Turkey Meat Sauce – that is an Effortlessly Chuck exclusive so stay tuned for my recipe.

Option B

Roasted Turkey Breast – easy breezy. Pop in a dutch oven, rub with olive oil, sprinkle sage and salt and pepper.

I had been craving a pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese frosting so it’s “Treat Yourself Sunday” and then balls to the wall at the gym with Jomar tomorrow morning!
