
Turkey meatballs can be bland but in this recipe they come to life with a hint of sweetness and lots of fire!
SERVING SIZE
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
Meatballs
1 lb of ground turkey
3 green onions, finely chopped
2 tbsp of finely chopped cilantro
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tbsp of hot sauce (I use Frank’s Red Hot)
1 tbsp of maple syrup
1/4 cup of panko breadcrumbs
Sauce
1/4 cup of hot sauce
3 tbsp of brown sugar
1/2 cup of chicken broth
2 tbsp of hoisin sauce
1 garlic clove, crushed
2 tbsp of finely grated ginger
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 400F. Mix all meatballs ingredients together and form 12 meatballs. Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and cook for 30 minutes.
Mix all sauce ingredients together in saucepan and bring to a simmer. Let simmer for 15 minutes before adding the meatballs. Let cook for 10 minutes.
Serve on top of jasmine rice. Garnish with sesame seeds.
